Together Again!

I'm feeling well enough to get out, so I'm down in Greenwood with the rest of the fam for the weekend. Myla is doing well, though there are some concerns about whether her platelet levels are high enough for her blood to clot. Last Monday, Myla's platelets were 65 (or 65,000), but they had dropped to 32 by Thursday. When they drop below 20, then the body has difficulty stopping bleeding both inside and out. As far as outside, there are some concerns with the area around Myla's PIC line, so we're keeping an eye on that. And as far as inside, well that's a bit harder to see, but there is always the danger of internal bleeding that goes undetected. We have an appointment for Myla at the Riley Outpatient Center at 10 AM Monday, so we're hoping that her blood stays where it should be until then. :)
