$1,000,000.00
That's how much a bone marrow transplant will cost, according to what a nurse told Melissa. If it comes to this--and I'm not implying that it will--we'll be able to "put it on the Underhills' bill" because we have good insurance, at least, I think.
And speaking of money, Melissa and I want to pass on a special word of thanks to her cousin, Keri Lyn. Get this--not only did she raise money in her office for us, but she also worked her Tupperware business just so she could give the profits to us! Wow. Thanks so much!!!
I also want to thank my colleagues at IU Kokomo. We got a generous gifts from the staff in Continuing Studies, Student Activities, Campus Climate, Career Services, and Child Care in addition to a gas card and a salon gift card for Melissa from the Staff and Leadership Councils. Granted, I've slowed down on taking pictures of myself filling up the car with gas. The cold weather and the suspicious looks I get from people have put a damper on that, but rest assured that we are very thankful for all of your generosity. If I get the chance, I'll take pictures of Melissa's Great Spa Adventure. :)
