Still Waiting...

We haven't heard any news back from the medical team about which way they are leaning, but neither did we expect to, at least not today. Maybe tomorrow, though.

I spent some time today reading through some of the blogs kept by parents of other children who have had or still have AML. I'm including some links to those sites below because they offer a fairly good picture of what Myla might be in for. These blogs might be helpful because we can see what other parents were thinking when they were in the same exact spot we are. Of course, not all situations are the same, but some of this reading might give us an edge as we evaluate the suggestions of the medical staff. Melissa and I are both leaning against doing a bone marrow transplant if it turns out that Myla's condition is only borderline. In other words, if there isn't a strong reason to do the transplant, then we think continuing with the current protocol of 5 chemo rounds would be best. And now, for the other blogs:

My 8-year-old daughter came home with her handwriting assignment that I posted on my fridge. "God will take care of your tomorrow. Live one day at a time." Matthew 6:34. How comforting to know as your family continues on your journey. My prayers are with you daily.

Thanks for the encouragement, Marie! One of these days, I'm going to make my way back to Miami County to take pictures of those great places you recommended. Thanks for your prayers!
