Wednesday

Some good news--Myla's ANC is 90 a second day in a row, so we're anticipating that it will continue to climb. The plan now is for Myla to have another surgery on Friday to install the central line in her chest before we leave for home that same day. This seems a bit rushed to me, but the doctors seem antsy to get her out of the hospital before the weekend starts. We'll see.

Three quick notes:

  1. We've been moved to another hospital room again. So, we're back to sharing a room with another family.
  2. Raul Matthew is almost over his turn with the flu, and I'm sensing that my turn is next. The Byroms and I have taken turns staying with Raul Matthew because he can't be in the cancer ward with the cough he has had.
  3. One of the doctors told us that the reason that Myla's heart rate was slowing down was because the line has been inserted too far and was actually down in her heart.
