As I
drove to
Kokomo this morning to teach my classes at
IU Kokomo, I watched the temperature drop from 9 degrees in Indianapolis to
5 degrees in
Kokomo. Despite the temp, I took mental pictures of the cool things--literally--that I saw on my drive into school, things like old barns awash in the light of the rising sun and rusty farm equipment cloaked in a veil of glistening frost. I was tempted to pull over and take a few shots with my camera, but the motivation simply wasn't there. Meanwhile, I'm dressed like a tree--brown pants and green sweater--because I lost a contest to Raul Matthew last night.
Some images from the last couple of days:
- Nurses double-checking Myla's info before starting the chemo.
- Myla smiling in a pink outfit.
- Myla's first infusion of chemo during this 3rd round.
- The exciting world of giving eye drop dropping.
- Raul Matthew's drawing of a nuclear submarine.
- Our room at the Ronald McDonald House (another view). Here are additional views out our window, out our door, out the main door, and into our bathroom.
- Myla in a giraffe outfit.
- Raul Matthew's chemo pig, complete with IV pole.

So glad that everything is going well with "Round 3" so far! You ALL remain in our prayers every day. Thanks for all the great pictures...I'm such a picture fanatic and I've enjoyed looking through them on Blue Fork!! Myla just keeps getting cuter and cuter!! Oh...and please do explain the contest that had you dressing like a tree! :-)
Love to all,
Keri Lyn
I also would like to add, that I have been keeping the 'Poor Claire' nuns of Kokomo up-to-date on Myla's progess. The have been keeping her in their daily prayers.
God Bless you all.

Keri Lyn, thanks again for the continued prayers! About the game...well, it's nothing really dramatic. Raul Matthew thought he could hold my arm down until he counted until 20. I escaped each time when the count reached 18 or 19, but he refused to give up and I finally let him win to get the game over with. The down part was that I was going to have to dress us as a tree! :)
Thanks for the prayers, Wayne, and for keeping the nuns informed. :)
